He graduated from Queen’s University with an Honours Law Degree in 1975.
He qualified as a Solicitor in 1978 and after working as an Assistant Solicitor he set up this firm on 4th January 1982. He holds a Practising Certificate in Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and England & Wales.
As befits a Solicitor who has started a business from “scratch” he has a wide experience and expertise in many areas of law and, apart from his own workload, is used as a “touchstone” within the practice for all areas of law.
Married with four children he is a keen sports fan. He is the retained solicitor for the Ulster Council of the GAA and is a season ticket holder at Old Trafford. His other leisure pursuits include skiing, cycling and golf.
Brendan is the managing partner of O’Hare Solicitors.

Liam Magill graduated from Queen’s University of Belfast with an LLB Honours degree in 1993. He has over twenty five years’ legal experience, joining O Hare solicitors in 2014.
Liam’s expertise and technical knowledge is matched by practical solutions to what often can be very complex areas of law. He is committed to his clients, building close personal relationships with key personnel and clients. He is highly respected amongst his colleagues and peers.
Liam is married with three children. He is a Sixth Dan Black Belt in the martial art of Jujitsu and is a volunteer coach. His other leisure pursuits are Brazilian Ju-Jitsu, keep fit, and walking his dogs.
Niall O’Hare graduated from University of Ulster Jordanstown and qualified as a solicitor in 2010. He was appointed as a partner in 2017.
Niall is partner in the litigation department of O’ Hare Solicitors.
He specialises in all aspects of personal injury litigation ranging from Road Traffic accidents, Accidents at Work, Industrial Deafness and Catastrophic Injury Claims. He also has extensive experience of conducting claims in the Republic of Ireland.
In addition to personal injury Niall manages the medical negligence department of O’ Hare Solicitors. He has significant experience in recovering compensation in medical negligence actions on behalf of clients including claims relating to cancer misdiagnosis, claims against general practitioners, orthopedic injury claims and birth injury claims. Niall has also recently been instructed in a number of potential actions out of the recent NHS Neurology scandal involving Dr Watt Consultant Neurologist.
Niall is an experienced family law practitioner and has a particular interest in financial settlements regularly acting for clients in high value High Court Divorce and Ancillary Relief matters. He also advises clients in relation to Matrimonial Agreements, Civil Partnerships and pre-nuptial agreements.
Outside of work Niall has a keen interest in GAA, Golf and football.

Helen graduated from Queen’s University, Belfast in 2006 and qualified as a solicitor in 2008. Helen holds a certificate in commercial conveyancing.
Helen has garnered extensive experience in the acquisition and assembly of sites for residential and commercial development and acts for several large developers. Helen acts for the developer from the inception of its plans to develop and in the initial purchase of the land and advises on all matters pertaining to title, the release of restrictive covenants, planning issues and development agreements. Post completion she establishes the development and acts in the preparation and negotiation of sale contracts and transfer deeds for the onward sales of units.
She regularly acts in the negotiation of commercial leases and advises on all matters relating to the Business Tenancies (NI) Order 1996.
Helen has developed a particular knowledge of liquor licensing and advises a number of high profile hoteliers and restauranteurs.
Helen further acts for one of Northern Ireland’s largest bookmakers.
Colm graduated from Queen’s University, Belfast in 1982 and was admitted to the role of Solicitors in Northern Ireland in 1984.
He has been a partner in the firm since 1994 and graduated as a Solicitor Advocate in 2006.
Colm has extensive expertise in personal injury compensation claims which include road traffic accidents (settlement of £350,000 for injured motorcyclist); accidents at work (£60,000 for a mechanic whose finger was injected with oil); industrial diseases (£15,000 compensation for a client suffering from pleural plaques); tripping and slipping cases (£135,000 for a postman who slipped on ice).
In more recent years Colm has assisted more than 500 clients suffering from noise induced hearing loss and has helped them achieve some of the highest settlements in Northern Ireland.
Colm has helped clients achieve favourable results in a broad spectrum of criminal cases including murder, manslaughter, drug offences, historical sexual abuse offences and misdemeanours.
In the past thirty five years Colm has built up a significant private client portfolio to assist in the purchase and sale of properties and also in the administration of estates.
Colm has also acted for a wide range of sporting and social clubs in Northern Ireland and has advised on a wide range of Club licensing issues.
Andrea Bell qualified as a Solicitor in 2007 and joined O’Hare Solicitors in 2014.
Andrea has specialises in the fields of residential and commercial property and holds a certificate in commercial conveyancing.
Andrea has extensive experience in bank finance work, particularly in the perfection of security for loan facilities and regularly acts for one of Northern Ireland’s largest banks.
Andrea acts for clients who avail of the shared ownership scheme with Northern Ireland Co-Ownership Housing Association and Fairshare Housing Association.
