It has come to our attention that the Belfast Health and Social Care trust is recalling more than 160 patients with advanced heart conditions who were fitted with a cardiac resynchronisation device (a small device that treats heart rhythm and pumping issues).
The patients in question were treated by cardiologist Dr Ernest Lau between 2007 and 2023. A further recall after both a major radiology and neurology recall in recent times is no doubt majorly concerning for any person treated by Dr Lau during this period.
